Guide to Sharing Your Marketplace Store Link: Short Links and QR Codes for Trendyol, Hepsiburada and Others

Short link and QR code tips to use your marketplace store or product link more effectively on social media, packaging and print.

If you sell on a marketplace, most of your traffic comes from the marketplace’s own search. But you can also bring extra traffic from your own channels (social media, email, a physical shop, packaging). For that you need to share your store or product link correctly.

  • Marketplace addresses can be long and full of parameters; a short link looks tidy when shared.
  • With a separate short link for each channel, you can see which channel brings more visits.
  • A QR code made from a short address is easier to scan.

Where can you use it?

  • Social media bios and post descriptions
  • On product packaging and shipping cards as a QR code
  • Email signatures and newsletters
  • Physical shop windows and the till
  • Fair and event stands

A QR code on packaging

For the customer who receives your product, the package is a second sales opportunity. By putting a QR code that leads to your store link on the packaging or shipping card, you can send your customer to new products or your reviews page. Print the code at an adequate size with high contrast and write a short call to action next to it.

Mind the rules

Marketplaces’ rules on campaigns, redirects and communication differ. Read in advance the rules on directing customers off the marketplace or asking for reviews, and share in a way that complies with them. A redirect that breaks the rules can put your store at risk.

A measurement plan

  • Create a separate short link for each channel.
  • Keep the links and where they are used in a table.
  • After a week, compare the click counts.
  • Invest more in the channel that gets the most interest.
